Some of the most notable achievements at Juell Collies is the placement of Texas A&M Reveille VIII, and Anna’s multiple major wins. We have been blessed results that matched our vision for Juell Collies. This will always be a joyful work in progress as we build relationships with estabilshed breeders while integrating the lessions learned.
Juell Collies was honored to provide Texas A&M with the eighth collie serving as their mascot. Unlike other universities with live mascots, they only have one serving at a time. Reveille lives with the Mascot Corporal 24/7 including attending classes.
Anna was the result of years of study and building relationships within the collie community. These relationships allowed us to acquire the foundation bitch and establish trusted relationships for selective breeding to the right sire which brought us Anna. She stood out in the whelping box with her bright silver and white coat that differentiated her from her littermates.
It was at her first collie specialty show that Anna caught Dona Williams eye. The rest as they say is history. In her first CCA Nationals in 2015, she placed third in a very large 9-12 month old AOAC class. Dona finished her at her first show in 2016 and though she was just under two years old she still made it deep into the cuts for BOV at the 2016 CCA Nationals. Following this Julie showed her at the Iowa collie specialties earning two Best in Specialty Show (BISS) wins. Following her litter she returned to the show ring with Dona to earn multiple BISS wins cumulating with her 2018 CCA Nationals Award of Merit. These wins earned her enough to place her as the 4th ranked rough collie in the nation and an invitation to Westminster dog show.
